We’ve started our e-waste and battery awareness programme in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru schools, building on a pilot conducted last year, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The programme teaches school students through interactive learning activities and conversations around mindful consumption and waste awareness.
Learning through dialogue, art and interaction
Designed to encourage curiosity and participation, the programme uses conversation, art and awareness activities to make the subject accessible for students. This provides a space for young learners to share their perspectives, ask questions and consider the importance of mindful consumption and waste disposal.
The initiative also brings together team members from across Agratas, giving them an opportunity to connect with students, share their knowledge about batteries and participate in community engagement beyond their regular roles.
The programme creates opportunities for students to explore the role batteries play in everyday life, understand the importance of being careful of the resources we use, and reflect on how our everyday choices can influence the environment.

Building awareness through collaboration
We’re grateful to the participating schools for welcoming us and providing an opportunity to meet their students. Working with schools is an important part of taking our industry to young people and encouraging greater awareness of e-waste and batteries.
As the programme progresses, we plan to engage with more schools in the coming months. The initiative also includes efforts to introduce e-waste collection bins in participating schools, in collaboration with a recycling partner, helping connect awareness with practical action.
Through the initiative, we aim to encourage thoughtful conversations around consumption, waste and the environment, while strengthening connections with the communities around our sites.
