Impacting young minds on e-waste and battery awareness through art
Earlier this year, we hosted a student art exhibition on e-waste and battery awareness at the Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad. The exhibition brought together students, parents, educators, and our team members to engage in conversations around sustainability, creativity, and shared responsibility.
The gallery featured student-created artwork, 3D models, and short films made from discarded electronic items. Students confidently explained their ideas and learning, turning the exhibition into an interactive space for dialogue on reuse, safe e-waste disposal, and responsible consumption.
The exhibition marked the culmination of a pilot Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme on e-waste and battery awareness, launched in August 2025 across five schools in Ahmedabad, reaching over 1,200 students and their families near our battery manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The programme combines awareness sessions, hands-on action, and creative expression.
As part of the initiative, students led e-waste collection drives at home, in schools and neighbourhoods, resulting in the collection of 226.5 kilograms of e-waste, with more still being gathered. A recycling partner was onboarded to ensure responsible processing and to introduce students to segregation, reuse and upcycled products.
Through initiatives like these, we continue to place communities at the centre of our approach, encouraging responsible habits and shaping more conscious choices for the future.
