Purpose of the Role
This role involves end-to-end industrialization and launches of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cell manufacturing, covering both pilot line & Cell Testing line and LFP mass production Line. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless transition from process development to full-scale manufacturing while meeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. You will collaborate closely with plant design and construction partners and equipment suppliers during the design phase to ensure the foundations for effective maintenance are established early on. Additionally, work with CFT to support for ongoing NMC projects in India & UK.
Key Responsibility Areas
Define technical requirements and specifications for LFP cell manufacturing pilot line equipment.
Evaluate equipment options based on:
Process capability (precision, repeatability, scalability)
Compatibility with LFP chemistry requirements
Collaborate with R&D and process engineering teams to ensure alignment with product design and process parameters.
Knowledge Generic
Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, PMO, Commercial, Quality Management & Operation team)
Must have 12 plus years of experience in process/production equipment maintenance in automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Lithium-Ion Cell manufacturing or maintenance,
Strong understanding of end‑to‑end manufacturing launch execution, spanning Equipment RFQ, Design review, FAT, Start of Production (SoP), and production ramp stabilization.
Job Context
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, or relevant demonstrable field experience.
